The English Vine - When we first started out producing our own wine, we were shocked by a couple of facts we discovered. Firstly, the UK only recycles 71% of its glass. The rest ends up in landfill. Secondly, almost half the carbon footprint of a bottle of wine comes from the bottle and associated packaging. 

So we've committed to ditching glass bottles for good and we are exploring all options including this. It's possible thanks to this unique paper bottle made in the UK by a sustainable packaging company who claim a carbon footprint 84% lower than that of a glass bottle. It's also five times lighter! Pretty remarkable.
